What Organizations are Titans Players Choosing for My Cause, My Cleats Initiative?

One of the greatest weeks in the NFL is upon us. Besides the teams fighting for postseason positions, it’s time for the third annual My Cause, My Cleats initiative.

A wide array of causes are spotlighted, from Wounded Warriors to suicide prevention to cancer awareness, and from animal shelters to children’s disease prevention to gun violence awareness.

Here are what a few on the Tennessee Titans have chosen for their causes.

Logan Ryan

Titans cornerback Logan Ryan and his wife are giving a voice to pets. The couple works with animal welfare organizations to promote adoption and provide grants and educational opportunities.

Since arriving in Nashville, the couple has raised money and brought awareness to pets through The Ryan Animal Rescue Foundation. Ryan has worn cleats promoting RARF each year, and he’s raised additional funds for the foundation by auctioning them off.

Last year’s cleats went for roughly $1,000.

Derrick Henry

Henry’s cause is his Two All Foundation. He launched the foundation within the past few months and believes it can impact a lot of kids. The foundation helped with a shopping spree for teachers as well as a back-to-school spree for children earlier this year.

Kevin Byard

Byard and his wife recently started the Byard Family Legacy Fund Foundation. They hosted a special Thanksgiving event for families in need. Byard and his wife, along with volunteers, handed out meals to families at a local elementary school. They served over 400 families Thanksgiving meals.

They’ve also teamed up with Campbell’s Chunky Soup to pack lunches for underprivileged students in the Nashville community.

Taylor Lewan

A few years back, Lewan was approached by long-time defensive end Chris Long to help him his efforts in an endeavor called Waterboys. Waterboys unites NFL players from across the league in service. As Waterboys, players team up with fans in providing clean, accessible drinking water to communities in need.

These are just four of dozens of examples from one of 32 teams making an impact.
