Kylian Mbappe is one of the most talented and unique players in the world today. He has a reputation for being exciting to watch, as well as put his name in the record books. The 22-year-old was a huge part of France’s World Cup victory in Russia in 2018, even becoming the second teenager to score in a World Cup final. His list of accomplishments and records are already nearly endless. Paris Saint-Germain, the French National Team, and the entire world have never seen a unique talent quite like him.

Mbappe’s development began in Monaco. With Monaco, he helped the club win Ligue 1, as well as earn the Ligue 1 Player of the Year and Golden Boy awards. Furthermore, he played a huge role in guiding Monaco to the semifinals of the 2016-2017 UEFA Champions League. Soon, several big European clubs wanted him. In 2017, Arsenal, Manchester City, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, and Liverpool were all interested in signing Mbappe, who was 18 years old at the time.

At one point, it looked as though Arsenal was set to bring Mbappe in. However, Mbappe would reject the offer opting to stay in France and move to Paris Saint-Germain. Mbappe signed on with PSG for 180 million euros, making Mbappe the second-most expensive footballer. In addition, it made him the most expensive teenager in history.

What If Mbappe Had Joined Arsenal?

Playing in the English Premier League is certainly huge for any young and very talented footballer. Especially if it’s the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea, etc. In Mbappe’s case, his talents would certainly help Arsenal upgrade its offensive attack.

Had Mbappe joined the Gunners, he would be one of the most popular players in the Premier League. No doubt, he’d break record after record like he’s doing in Paris. Furthermore, his skills and accomplishments can help Arsenal return to its old dominant and successful form.

Furthermore, joining Arsenal gives Mbappe the opportunity to play in a highly competitive league. The challenges would motivate him to become an even better player. In other words, it would impact his career.

Mbappe is enjoying a respectable amount of success in the French capital. He remains on Liverpool and Real Madrid’s radar for a possible transfer to one of the clubs. The transfer window opens on February 1st.

According to a report, Mbappe is “open” to moving to Liverpool. However, while Los Blancos is a great club that more than fitting for a player of Mbappe’s talent, a move to the Premier League would be better.

It’s clear Mbappe is a better player than he was at 18, however, the time is drawing near for him to make a move to a more challenging and competitive atmosphere.

Rumors and reports about him leaving PSG have been around for a while and now that he’s greatly improved, Liverpool and Real Madrid may be more than determined than ever to acquire him. It would be no surprise if several more clubs joined in on the pursuit. PSG may even try to convince him to stay.

At this point, the future of Kylian Mbappe is uncertain. Anything can happen.
