Welcome to MLB Down The Line

Good morning, and welcome to MLB Down The Line. We are so happy to have you on our site, checking out the fantastic work from our staff of writers.

My name is Andersen Pickard, and I am the network director here at Fan Source Network. I’m in my eighth month at Fan Source. I’ve been on the staff since we launched NFL Fan Blitz in February.

My first role was as the site manager of NFL Fan Blitz’s Seattle Seahawks division, and I was quickly promoted to an editorial role and later the role of NFL Fan Blitz content director, overseeing all of our football ops. With the launch of our NBA page, that title shifted to Co-Associate Director, but I also remained in charge of the NFL. I later assumed the role of Network Director.

And now, here we are. I am no longer the NFL Fan Blitz content director (a role which is now called the managing editor); that title belongs to the wonderful Deon Bent, who also began with our team in February.

I have big plans for this site, many of which are easily feasible and some of which are far-fetched. But I can promise you that I am a hard-worker who will bring the best to this Network and page, and if I have a goal for this site, I will do whatever I can to achieve my goals.

So, what are these goals I speak of?

  • Credentialing journalists. It may be tough right out of the gate, but very soon, I hope to provide the opportunity for all of our journalists to be credentialed for several big-league and minor-league games.
  • Interacting with baseball fans. We will not try to tell you that we are the best of the best in our industry. While we will be professional and hold ourselves accountable, you can bet that we will interact with you, the baseball fans, here on our website and also on social media.
  • Providing top-notch content. Our ever-growing staff of journalists are eager to show off their writing work you, and I am proud of the content they have produced. The work you will see on this site will make you want to come back to us over and over again for quality content.
  • A wide variety of content. Versatility is crucial. Here at Fan Source Network, all of our divisions pride themselves on providing a vast range of content. Here at our baseball division, we plan on covering news, farm systems, events, matchups, highlights, big games, data, stats, analysis, opinions, and so much more.
  • Having fun. I mean it. Building a site where writers write and readers read is too simple and bland is a big no-no for us. We want you to share your thoughts and enjoy the articles that you read.

With all that said, I look forward to building the MLB Down The Line brand and growing the Fan Source Network with not only our staff of journalists, but with you — the readers! Thanks for tagging along; we are happy to have you.
