Another week is down and we are still up. Since I have been keeping track of my picks, I am 15-8-2. Not to brag, but if it was legal for me to gamble on sports, I would be pretty damn rich. So if you are allowed to gamble, it’s time to get rich. If you are like me, let’s get theoretically rich!
Life’s Too Short To Bet The Under, Over Of The Week: Texans @ Ravens (O/U 50)
I feel like this one is a no-brainer. Two of the most exciting quarterbacks in the game in Lamar Jackson and Deshaun Watson going at it. This has the makings of a classic shootout game. Maybe a little playoff matchup? But I’ll admit it, hand up, I was wrong about Jackson. He is unreal. His passing has gotten so much better to the point where he is a top-five quarterback in the league.
My Lock Of The Week: Memphis Tigers (-9.5) @ Houston Cougars
Memphis’ offense is so goddamn electric. Led by quarterback Brady White and running back Kenny Gainwell, they are a threat to score on any play from anywhere. But the biggest factor in this pick is that Houston is goddamn terrible. I would hammer this pick, there is a reason I call it a lock.
Underdog Of The Week: Cavaliers (+11) @ Sixers
The Cavs still have some work to do. But they have been pretty impressive. Their starting five has the second-most minutes on the floor together in the league, they are also outscoring opponents by 16 points per 100 possessions. First-year coach John Beilein has this young team playing well. They are becoming a real pain in the ass to play against.
Future Bet Of The week: Dallas Mavericks to Win The Western Conference: +3000
This may be a little crazy, but I am so in love with this team. Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis are working better than I could have imagined. Doncic is going to be the next player to average a triple-double for an entire season. His translation to the NBA from the Euro League has been so exciting to watch. Again, this may be crazy but +3000 for how good this team could be this season? There is no better time to jump on this than now.
