For the fourth time this season, Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-2) eclipsed the 30 point mark, en route to a 45-20 win over the Las Vegas Raiders (3-3).

Brady finished with five total touchdowns for the second time this season. He had one on the ground and four through the air, while going 33-45 for 369 yards. He now is the all-time NFL touchdown pass leader, ahead of Drew Brees. Chris Godwin led the team in receptions with nine for 88 yards and a touchdown. Scott Miller had six catches for 109 yards and a touchdown. Despite the return of Leonard Fournette, who finished with 11 carries for 50 yards, the Buccaneers only had 85 rushing yards. Fournette also added six catches for 47 yards.

The pass rush for the Buccaneers was led by Devin White, who had three sacks and 11 tackles. Rookie defensive back Antoine Winfield Jr. picked off Derek Carr early in the fourth quarter, which turned into the dagger when Brady found Godwin for 23 yards. Then, Ronald Jones ran it in for a one-yard touchdown following the completion to Godwin.

The Raiders like to run the ball but were limited by the Buccaneers’ defense, which is near the top of the league in every defensive rushing category. They finished with 76 yards, averaging 3.16 yards per carry. Josh Jacobs was held to 17 yards on 10 carries. With all of those struggles, they still led the game in time of possession. Carr finished 24-36 with 284 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. His lead receiver was Nelson Agholor, who had five catches for 107 yards and a touchdown. The Raiders’ defense failed to record a sack.

Highlights

Next week, the Buccaneers will play on the road on Monday Night Football against the New York Giants. The Raiders will travel to Cleveland to face the Browns.
