Week 6 Fantasy Football Busts

Choosing the players who will succeed and benching the ones who will not is essential to winning in fantasy football. Each week, fantasy owners will have to make the tough decision to put a player they like on the bench because the truth is that player is a bust. The willingness to do so is what separates good fantasy owners from bad ones. Let’s take a look at five players who could bust in Week 6.

Dak Prescott – QB, Dallas Cowboys (vs NE)

Dak Prescott has been a solid starting quarterback in fantasy football so far, but this week things could change. He is playing against a New England defense that has allowed the fifth-least goals to opposing quarterbacks. With the Cowboys defensive success’ recently, they could opt for a more run-heavy offense if they build an early lead as well.

Dalvin Cook – RB, Minnesota Vikings (vs CAR)

Delvin Cook is a must-start every week when he is healthy, however, he does come with some risks this week. He has been dealing with an ankle injury and if he is limited in any form, he could provide disappointing results this week. Additionally, the Carolina Panthers have given up the least points to opposing runningbacks making Week 6 tough for Cook.

Josh Jacobs – RB, Las Vegas Raiders (vs DEN)

Josh Jacobs has been solid in the three games he has played in this year averaging 14.8 fantasy points in them. However, the Denver Broncos defense has been excellent this season allowing the second-least points to opposing running backs. Lastly, with Jon Gruden out as the head coach in Las Vegas, the Raiders gameplan could look different creating many question marks about Jacobs this week.

Mike Williams – WR, Los Angeles Chargers (vs BAL)

Mike Williams is looking like a league-winner at this point of the season. He is averaging 23.2 points per game making him the WR2 in all of fantasy football so far. However, Week 6, may not be friendly for his fantasy owners. Williams is nursing a knee injury and if he is on any type of snap count he could struggle to get things going against a good Baltimore Ravens defense.

New England Patriots D/ST (vs DAL)

The New England Patriots’ defense has been excellent this year putting up the eighth-most fantasy points. However, starting them would be a mistake this week. The Patriots are facing a tough Dallas offense that has proved to be the hardest matchup for opposing defenses. It is hard to see a situation where the Patriots’ defense is outstanding this week.
