Best Bet No. 1: Aaron Rodgers OVER 235.5 Passing Yards (-110)

I locked this one in (super) early, and since then, Aaron Rodgers’ passing yard prop has significantly increased to 249.5, a difference of 14 total yards. Never underestimate the value of locking in a bet before betting markets and sportsbooks adapt.

Coming into Week 17, Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers (7-8) are still alive in the NFC playoff picture. Winners of three consecutive games, the Packers face yet another must-win game at home against their arch-rivals and NFC North Division foes, the Minnesota Vikings (12-3). Although it’s been an up-and-down campaign for Rodgers and the Packers, I think he’s in an excellent smash spot here against a Vikings secondary which has struggled mightily all season long. Heading into the game, Rodgers should be viewed as a high-end QB2 with QB1 upside. I think he’s in for a monster game and should easily surpass his prop of 235.5 total passing yards. This one is almost too good to be true; take A-Rod on the over.

Best Bet No. 2: 49ers vs. Raiders UNDER 41.5 (-110)

The Las Vegas Raiders (6-9) were always going to struggle to put points on the board against one of the fiercest and most athletic defenses in football. Today, the black and silver will host the San Francisco 49ers (11-4) with Derek Carr on the sidelines (coach’s decision). It certainly looks as though Carr has played his final game for the Raiders, signifying the end of an era.

As for who actually is playing, Jarrett Stidham will start under center for Las Vegas. For a team like the Raiders who have struggled on offense all season long, this is a bad matchup in many different ways against an elite Niners defense. With Josh Jacobs out of the backfield, I anticipate a run-heavy approach on offense which should eat a ton of clock. From a San Francisco perspective, Brock Purdy has stepped in masterfully for the injured Jimmy Garoppolo and has thrived in Kyle Shanahan’s offense. Look for the Niners to possess the ball for much of the game and to win outright fairly comfortably. Don’t hesitate; lean towards the under on this one.
