The Christmas Day rendition of the National Football League takes center stage today with three games on the docket. It’s time to sit back, relax, and enjoy some time with your loved ones huddled around the TV with the world’s greatest game. To add a bit more Christmas cheer, here are two best bets to get those juices flowing.

Best Bet No. 1: Broncos-Rams OVER 36.5 (-110)

A pair of 4-10 teams lock horns this evening with the Los Angeles Rams playing host to the Denver Broncos. With such a low line (36.5), and one that has continued to drop, I have a hunch we’ll see more offense than most anticipate.

With very little to play for on each sideline, look for visits to the red-zone to be frequent. The only question remains, can both teams convert their drives into touchdowns as opposed to settling for field goals? In addition, Baker Mayfield, who seemingly always has something to prove to his plethora of doubters, will look to air it out and test the Broncos secondary. Even with the line as low as 36.5, I still think this one has the potential to be somewhat high-scoring. Ride with the over in this one, folks.

Best Bet No. 2: Packers +4.0 (-110)

The Green Bay Packers (6-8) will look to keep their (slim) playoff hopes alive in the NFC when they travel down south on Christmas Day to take on the Miami Dolphins (8-6). Losers of three consecutive games, the Phins are in a bit of a tailspin at the worst possible time. Their run game is in complete disarray, and their star QB Tua Tagovailoa has looked pretty shaky (and average) in recent weeks.

Enter the Packers. After looking pretty dormant for the greater part of this season, the Packers have reeled off two-straight wins and find themselves “in the running” for a spot in the NFL postseason. Much of their turnaround (if you can call it that) has been the strong play of Aaron Rodgers, and his shiny new toy on offense, rookie wideout Christian Watson. Green Bay is finally starting to play with some swagger and could cause the Dolphins real fits in this one. The Packers have won four of the past five meetings between these two teams, and roll into Miami feeling as though they can steal one. This has the makings for a close, and highly contested football game. Lock in the Pack at +4.0.
