The Pittsburgh Steelers faced off against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday Night Football in week 14. The Steelers defense kept them in the game early on, but once Josh Allen and the Bills got going, the game got out of hand. Buffalo would go on to win 26-15 and deliver Pittsburgh’s second loss of the season.

Allen threw for 238 yards and two touchdowns, also adding 28 yards on the ground. Bills’ wide receiver Stefon Diggs was seemingly open every play, racking up 130 yards and a touchdown on 10 catches. Cornerback Taron Johnson had himself a night, taking an interception for a touchdown and adding seven tackles.

First Half

The first quarter was as defensive-minded as it gets. Over the first ten possessions of the game, both teams combined for eight punts and two turnovers. Pittsburgh was able to strike first off of a Bills fumble as Ben Roethlisberger found James Washington for a 19-yard touchdown.

Second Half

Buffalo started the second half on fire. Josh Allen connected with Gabriel Davis for a 13-yard touchdown and on their next possession, Allen found Stefon Diggs for another score. They led the Steelers 23-7.

The Steelers drop to 11-2 and the second seed in the AFC, thus losing the first-round bye for the moment. They have the chance to bounce back against the Bengals next week. Meanwhile, the Bills move to 10-3 and will prepare for a matchup against the Broncos next Saturday. Both teams will make the playoffs, however, the final three weeks of the season will determine which seed they’ll get.
