After many rumors and contemplation, it appears that the Minnesota Vikings have resecured their franchise quarterback.

Minnesota has agreed to a two-year extension with quarterback Kirk Cousins, according to his agency.

The two-time Pro-Bowler was originally a fourth-round selection of the Redskins. He had a bumpy career with Washington but had a good run from 2015 through 2017. Before the 2018 season, he signed a new contract with the Minnesota Vikings worth $84 million over three years; at the time, this was the largest contract in NFL history.

In his first season with Minnesota, they missed the playoffs. However, 2019 was a breakout of sorts for Cousins as he threw for 3,603 yards, 26 touchdowns, six interceptions, and a passer rating of 107.4.
