Farrell Shares Optimism on Price’s Elbow

Spring has sprung and baseball season is in full swing, but David Price is easing his way back into things as he enters year two in Boston

Price struggled mightily last year, but still managed to win 17 games and strike out more than 200 batters.

A lot of hope and high expectations have come for the left hander’s second year with the club. However an elbow injury plagued his Spring Training and now he finds himself on the DL.

Red Sox manager John Farrell told the local media that Price is making steady progress to get back on the mound.

“Little by little making his way back,” Farrell said. “[Price has come] out of each of his last half-dozen throwing sessions feeling good about himself.”

When Price is fully healthy, expect him to be right in the thick of the Red Sox rotation and possibly regain his all-star form. But for now, it is a waiting game for Price and the team.
