Matthew Stafford

Week 13 is almost in the books! Were your teams able to stave off the injury bug? Whether you need an injury replacement or want an upgrade over your current starter, here is a list of streamers with favorable matchups in Week 14. The following players are owned in less than 50 percent of Yahoo Leagues.

Philip Rivers, QB, Indianapolis Colts

Rivers makes this list for the second week in a row. Over his last four games, Rivers is averaging 294 passing yards and two touchdowns with a 68.4 percent completion percentage. Last week, he connected with four-time Pro Bowl wide receiver T.Y. Hilton on eight passes for 110 yards and a touchdown. Rivers is a low-end QB1 option this week going up against a Las Vegas Raiders defense giving up the ninth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks.

Matthew Stafford, QB, Detroit Lions

Stafford faced a stingy Chicago Bears defense last week and threw for a whopping 402 yards and three touchdowns. He now has turned in two impressive performances in a row heading into his Week 14 matchup against the Green Bay Packers. Despite the tough matchup against a Packers defense giving up the seventh-fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks this season, Stafford should benefit from a potentially negative game script. His recent strong performances and matchup put Stafford squarely in the QB1 mix this week.

Mitchell Trubisky, QB, Chicago Bears

Trubisky is an underrated fantasy performer. He’s averaging 18.4 fantasy points per game in all four games that he started and finished this season. The recent emergence of running back David Montgomery should open up even more passing lanes for Trubisky this week against a Houston Texans defense that has been generous to quarterbacks this season. Trubisky’s rushing ability gives him a Top-20 floor this week with room for more.

Anthony Firkser, TE, Tennessee Titans

Firkser took over for an injured Jonnu Smith (knee) last week and caught five out of seven targets for 51 yards. He could have had a bigger day if Ryan Tannehill had not overthrown him on two end zone targets. Firkser will be a low-end TE1 as long as Smith remains out this week, especially going up against a Jacksonville Jaguars team giving up the seventh-most fantasy points to tight ends this season.

Logan Thomas, TE, Washington Football Team

Thomas caught nine passes for 98 yards and a touchdown last week against a Pittsburgh Steelers defense who was giving up the fewest fantasy points to tight ends on the season. This week, he faces a San Francisco 49ers defense that has given up the second-fewest fantasy points to tight ends. Thomas ranks seventh amongst all tight ends with 7.6 targets per game, which makes him a weekly high-floor TE2.

Dalton Schultz, TE, Dallas Cowboys

Schultz is quietly averaging 5.5 targets on the season which ranks 10th amongst all tight ends. This week, he goes up against a Cincinnati Bengals defense giving up the fourth-most fantasy points to tight ends this season. Over the past two weeks, the Bengals have allowed their opponent’s tight ends to average 108.5 receiving yards. Schultz has a top-15 floor this week.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers, DST

The Buccaneers have been a top-10 fantasy unit on the year, averaging 7.6 fantasy points per game. This week, they host a Minnesota Vikings offense that has given up the ninth-most fantasy points to defenses. Expect the Buccaneers to rack up multiple sacks and turnovers, giving them a top-10 floor this week.

Dallas Cowboys, DST

The Cowboys face a Bengals offense this week that’s giving up the fifth-most fantasy points to defenses this year. Over the past four games, they have given up 11.8 fantasy points per game. Any defense facing a Brandon Allen led offense has a top-10 floor.

Carolina Panthers, DST

Carolina returns from their bye week to host a Denver Broncos team giving up the second-most fantasy points to defenses this year. In the two games before their Week 13 bye week, the Panthers were averaging 18 fantasy points per game. Carolina is a top-10 play this week.

Greg Zuerlein, K, Dallas Cowboys

Despite the quarterback turnover in Dallas, Zuerlein has averaged 7.5 fantasy points per game. Andy Dalton should have no problem moving the ball against his former team, which gives Zuerlein a safe floor this week.

Robbie Gould, K, San Francisco 49ers

Gould has hit 90 percent of his field goals this season while averaging 7.1 fantasy points per game. This week, the 49ers host a very good Washington defense that should be stingy in the red zone. Nick Mullens and the 49ers offense have been moving the ball well lately with Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk back and fully healthy. Expect the 49ers’ offense to take multiple trips to the red zone, giving Gould plenty of chances to score.
