The New England Patriots were ranked the seventh-best offensively last season. These are the three best current offensive players on the Patriots’ roster.

No. 3: Mohamed Sanu

Mohamed Sanu has been with the Patriots for just one year. In that one year, he has been a strong offensive player for the team’s offense. Last season, Sanu played in 15 of the 16 games and had 59 receptions. From those 59 receptions, he racked up 520 receiving yards, had an average of 8.8 yards per reception, and scored two touchdowns. Sanu did not score too many touchdowns or rack up too many yards, but he is still an important player on the Patriots’ offense. Sanu is a big receiver and can be used to help block or do other important things on the field that Bill Belichick has in mind.

No. 2: Sony Michel

Sony Michel has been with the Patriots for two years. In those two years, he has been a great offensive player for the Patriots’ offense. Michel had a better regular season last year than his first. He played in all 16 games and had 247 rushing attempts. From those 247 rushing attempts, he ran for a total of 912 yards, had an average of 3.7 rushing yards per attempt, and scored seven touchdowns. Michel scored one-seventh of the team’s touchdowns last regular season and produced over one-sixth of the team’s total offensive yards last regular season. Michel is an important player on the offense and is a strong weapon for the Patriots to use to get some tough running yards.

Julian Edelman has been with the Patriots for 10 years. In those 10 years, he has been an extremely important player on the Patriots’ offense. Last regular season, Edelman played the best he has ever played. He played in all 16 games and made 100 receptions, racking up 1,117 receiving yards, 11.2 yards per reception, and six touchdowns. Edelman scored just under one-eighth of the team’s touchdowns last regular season, amassed just under one-third of the team’s passing yards, and tallied just under one-fifth of the team’s total offensive yards. Edelman is a very important player on the offense and is one of the Patriots’ best weapons to get downfield.
