Too Much Pod Tar: Tyler Freeman Interview and Cleveland Guardians Prospects

On a new episode of Too Much Pod Tar, Johnnie Black joined the show to discuss the Cleveland Guardians’ top five prospects. That top five list includes Tyler Freeman, who I had the pleasure to interview. That interview is a part of this podcast and we went over the best highlights from it. Be sure to check out the written version of the interview as well. The Guardians have a lot of talent at the top of their farm system, and they all should be up in the majors within a year or two.

In the episode, we also touched on how we go about grading prospects for the top five lists. That includes what attributes are most important when ranking one player over another. Another topic was the current state of MLB as it is still in a lockout, with just days away from when pitchers and catchers are supposed to be reporting. With the Super Bowl yesterday and the NFL season coming to an end, MLB really needs to figure this out and get the season started on time. If they don’t they are going to fall even farther beyond in popularity with other sports. That and more are the topics that we talked about on the podcast.
