Tom Brady Speaks About Super Bowl Loss to Eagles

If fans thought New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was over his loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2017 Super Bowl. Think again.

On WEEI’s Greg Hill Show, the six-time Super Bowl champion was asked how long it took to put the game behind him.

To put it simply, he has not.

“You assume I’m over it?” Brady told Greg Hill. “Come on, now. That’s a lot of mental scar tissue that year. That was a tough game.”

The loss marked his third Super Bowl dropped in his Hall of Fame career. All of which have come to NFC East teams.

Brady claims the loss made the entire team more formidable. Given just how bad the defense played in that Super Bowl and where the unit stands now as statistically one of the best ever, the former sixth-round pick is right.

“In a lot of ways, I think we learned from that year and came back stronger,” Brady told Hill. “Everything is a matter of perspective. I think when you play that game and you play great teams, you’re not gonna win them all. This is not the Harlem Globetrotters vs. the Washington Generals.

The 2017 and 2018 Super Bowl champions face off in their rematch this Sunday at 4:25 p.m.
