Takeaways

Titans

  • Ryan Tannehill is definitely a competitor

Aside from commanding the offense, the guy can tackle. On his interception, he tracked down the returner and took an angle that led to a great tackle.

  • They epitomize team effort

This team again proved they can find different ways to win. Tannehill’s arm, Henry’s powerful running, and a strong defense proves this team is running on all cylinders at just the right time.

  • Hitting his stride

After a few explosive plays early in the season, rookie A.J. Brown again showed his explosiveness. With Henry nursing a hamstring injury, Tennessee may rely more on Brown down the stretch. Of course, Henry will continue to compete if it’s up to him.

Raiders

  • A nudge doesn’t work when you need a push

Jon Gruden’s team came out very flat in the second half. They definitely lacked the energy of a team still in the playoff hunt.

  • Jacobs is a critical piece

Rookie running back Josh Jacobs was inactive because of an injury and his absence was very visible.

  • Ripped to shreds

The defense offered very little resistance, especially in the passing game.

The Titans go home to take on the Texans as the winner will take over sole possession of first place in the AFC South. The Raiders host the Jaguars in what will be the final game in Oakland.
