NFL DFS

This week’s Thursday Night Football game is a battle between the two previous No. 1 overall picks in the NFL draft. This year’s top pick Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars will head into Cincinnati to face the 2020 first overall pick Joe Burrow and the Bengals. Let’s take a look at the top players for DFS in this matchup.

DraftKings Captain

DJ Chark (DK 10,800 | FD 10,500)

Lawrence has been taking deep shots to Chark all season. Chark has seen 22 targets but has only turned those into seven receptions for 154 yards and two touchdowns. The more Chark and Lawrence start to get on the same page the more they will start connecting on those deep passes. He is likely to boom or bust but at the Captain slot, he will provide plenty of roster flexibility for this tough slate.

FanDuel MVP

Joe Mixon (DK 11,000 | FD 14,000)

The Bengals are finally using Mixon as their workhorse back. In three games this season, he has seen 18 plus carries while playing 74 percent or more of the snaps. Mixon gets a great matchup this week against the Jaguars’ defense. They have given up on average 94 rushing yards to running backs per game and four touchdowns on the year. Look for Mixon to have his best game of the season thus far in tonight’s game.

Flex Plays

James Robinson (DK 9,400 | FD 12,000)

Urban Meyer finally started utilizing Robinson last week. He saw 15 rushing attempts and six targets. If Robinson continues to see that volume, he should put up some good fantasy numbers in this game. The Bengals run defense has been solid but they have allowed running backs to get a lot of receptions. In only three games running backs have 31 receptions for 192 yards against the Bengals. If the Jaguars get down in this game Robinson will get his fair share of work in the passing attack.

Evan McPherson (DK 3,800 | FD 9,500)

McPherson is a perfect 4-4 on field goals and 8-8 on extra points to begin his rookie campaign. That includes a 53 yarder and a game-winner against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 1. The Bengals should have no problem moving the ball in this game. This slate is filled with a lot of expensive skill players. After those expensive guys, there isn’t much value. McPherson is cheap enough to help fill your lineups with the top players. Lock him into your lineups especially if you play on DraftKings.
