Week 2 is officially in the books. Time to keep things rolling with another Thursday Night game. This week, the Carolina Panthers will head into Houston to face the Texans. The Texans will look to get back into the win column and hand the Panthers their first loss of the season. The Panthers will look to make things difficult for starting quarterback Davis Mills who will be making his first career NFL. Without further ado, let’s take a look at the top players in this matchup.
DraftKings Captain | FanDuel MVP
Christian McCaffrey (DK 20,100 | FD 17,500)
Outside of an injury, CMC will easily be one of the top scorers on this slate. He has scored 20 plus fantasy points in both games this season. He has had no workload issues having already seen 15 targets and 45 carries in only two games. Even when he does not score touchdowns, he still puts up points. Don’t overthink it lock him in at the Captain or MVP slot because he will be in all the winning lineups.
Flex Plays
Sam Darnold (DK 11,200 | FD 15,000)
Darnold has been very good to start the season after coming over from the New York Jets. He has scored 19 or more fantasy points in both starts this season. This week, he gets a matchup against one of the weaker defenses in the league. Darnold has plenty of playmakers and a solid offensive line in front of him and he is now showing why he was a top pick in his draft class. Look for him to continue that in this primetime game.

D.J. Moore (DK 10,600 | FD 14,000)
Moore and Robby Anderson are Darnold’s main targets. However, Anderson is more of the deep threat in the Panthers’ offense. Moore leads the team in targets at 19 so far this season. There is no reason to believe that will not continue again this week against Texans. Look for Moore to have a similar stat line to last week when he went for 80 receiving yards and one touchdown.
Anthony Miller (DK 1,000 | FD 5,500)
Miller is a bit of a risk considering he hasn’t played a game this season after being a healthy scratch the first couple of weeks. However, after some injuries, he should be stepping into the starting slot receiver role without much competition for targets. Furthermore, he is extremely cheap and allows you plenty of flexibility to fit Darnold, CMC, and Moore into your lineups comfortably. Miller is worth the dart throw in this game with the Texans lacking offensive playmakers.
