Three teams are interested in DeMar DeRozan

The Detroit Pistons, Chicago Bulls, and Orlando Magic all have interest in trading for DeMar DeRozan.

All three teams would get better with the addition of DeMar DeRozan, but which team would be the best fit for him? The Orlando Magic. Out of these three Eastern Conference teams, the Magic made the playoffs last season. If they were to add DeMar DeRozan alongside Nikola Vucevic and Aaron Gordon, they could be a dangerous trio in the East. Magic would likely need to trade Jonathan Isaac, Mohamed Bamba, and draft picks, or Markelle Fultz, in order to get that trade done.

If he were to be traded to the Bulls, and assuming the Bulls could get away with keeping Lavine and Markannen, and trading other young assets, that would be a good trio too, but it won’t be enough. Lavine and DeRozan are both scorers and need the ball in their hand to do damage. The Bulls would possibly need to trade Wendell Carter Jr., and Coby White, or Kris Dunn, and draft picks or Daniel Gafford, in order for this trade to get done.

If DeRozan were to be traded to the Pistons, and join forces with Blake Griffin and Andre Drummond, that would be an interesting trio, along with Derrick Rose in the mix, but they will likely need to trade Sekou Doumbouya, Reggie Jackson, Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk, and possibly draft picks as well.

As mentioned earlier, DeRozan would fit with the Orlando Magic best, because that team made the playoffs last season, and they would definitely make it to the playoffs, and possibly win a few rounds, with DeRozan. The Pistons would be the second-best option with Blake Griffin and Andre Drummond, but too much of that relies on whether or not Blake Griffin will remain healthy. The Bulls would be the third option because they are still a young team, but they have a lot of promise. Bulls should not trade any of their young assets unless they could trade Kris Dunn and draft picks for him, which is highly unlikely. If DeRozan does get traded to one of these teams, they will be a playoff team, and the Eastern Conference would get much more interesting.
