1951 – St. Louis Browns sign 45-year-old Satchel Paige.

1971 – Satchel Paige becomes first Negro League player inducted to the Baseball Hall of Fame.

1980 – Rick Barry of the Houston Rockets becomes first player to have eight made three-pointers in a game.

2016 – The Denver Broncos defeat the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50, 24-10. Von Miller named MVP.

2019 – Oklahoma City’s Russell Westbrook sets an NBA record with his 11th straight game with a triple double.

1999 – Wayne Gretzky extends his all-time NHL scoring record to 1,000 points over Gordie Howe.

2018 – Nikola Jokic records the fastest triple-double in NBA history. It takes him only 14 minutes and 33 seconds. He would finish the game with 30 points, 17 assists, and 15 rebounds.
