Yes this is as crazy as the headline may suggest.

In a deleted scene of his documentary “100%: Julian Edelman,” the wide receiver detailed the story that is sure to have Patriots fans cringing but also laughing.

The Super Bowl MVP entered the hot tub room and made eye contact with his head coach that unfolded a series of unforgettable events.

I just so happen to walk by the hot tub, and coach is in the hot tub. Like, obviously I came in the room to go in the hot tub. But then we made eye contact, and my natural instinct was to turn around like I was going to leave.

But then I saw that he saw that I was in there, and then he got up and got out. And real, real big party foul by coach. I mean, we’re supposed to have shorts on. We’re supposed to have shorts. But I guess at 11 o’clock when you’re the GOAT of coaching, you go wherever you want, free ball.

So I had to hide my absolute face of terror after seeing what I saw and sit in the hot tub.

Edelman also detailed a moment in his first few years in Foxboro where he snuck by Belichick in the gym one night at the facility while he was watching film and taking notes on the treadmill.

“You always take a look at who’s there and there’s Bill,” Edelman said. “In the pitch black, he’s got the film on, got the big old book out, got the pencil in the ear, writing notes, watching film on the treadmill at 11:00 p.m. at night no one’s there. It’s unreal, it’s insanity, so I hurry and scatter so he doesn’t by any chance see me because that was the last thing I wanted in that time of my life and career.”

Belichick drafted the Kent State quarterback in the seventh round of the 2009 NFL Draft not knowing how or where Edelman would fit on his team.

He has gone on to total 516 receptions, for 5,586 yards, and 31 receiving touchdowns. Edelman also has four returns for touchdowns on special teams and 373 offensive rushing yards.
