The top two teams were supposed to face off on Saturday but the game was postponed. It’s a new day, which means plenty more hoops to come.

Welcome to today’s Daily Dunk, where we recap all of college basketball’s biggest games from yesterday and give you a look at the matchups to watch later today! 

Yesterday’s Biggest Games

POSTPONED: #1 Gonzaga vs. #2 Baylor

Gonzaga and Baylor were supposed to play in the best matchup of the season and the game may still be played, but it was not on Saturday. Just hours before the tip, the respective head coaches released a statement saying that the game had been postponed due to two positive Covid-19 tests in the Gonzaga program.

Mark Few and Scott Drew said in the statement that they will try to make the game up sometime in the future.

North Dakota State 61 vs. #7 Kansas 65

Kansas was on upset alert, as they were trailing with about two minutes to go. However, they pulled away to win by four and improve to 4-1. Ochai Agbaji and Jalen Wilson combined for 27 points and 18 rebounds with four assists.

The Jayhawks have an intriguing matchup against the #9 Creighton Bluejays on Tuesday.

BYU 67 vs. Utah State 64

This was a very close game all the way down to the final moments of the second half. The Cougars move to 5-1 with the win while the Aggies fall to 1-3.

#12 Villanova vs. #17 Texas

How to Watch: Sunday, December 6, 1:00 PM ET, ESPN

Texas has had an impressive week as they won the Maui Invitational and could cap it off with an upset win over Villanova.

#11 West Virginia vs. Georgetown

How to Watch: Sunday, December 6, 4:30 PM ET, FS1

Patrick Ewing has yet to make the NCAA Tournament in his tenure as the head coach of the Hoyas but a win vs West Virginia could be a big step towards doing so.

#20 Kentucky vs. Georgia Tech

How to Watch: Sunday, December 6, 5:00 PM ET, ESPN

Kentucky is looking to impress the committee by getting a win after losing to Kansas by three points earlier in the week.
