Wisconsin, Oregon, and Duke were all in action on Friday night. Let’s recap those matchups and preview the best games to watch today, headlined by top-ranked Gonzaga against second-ranked Baylor.

Welcome to today’s Daily Dunk where we recap all of college basketball’s biggest games from yesterday and give you a look at the matchups to watch later today!

Yesterday’s Biggest Games

UPSET ALERT: #4 Wisconsin 65 vs. Marquette 67

For the second straight week, the fourth-ranked team in the country has fallen. Last week it was Virginia faltering against San Francisco. This week it’s Marquette stunning #4 Wisconsin.

This was one of the best endings you’ll see all season. D.J. Carton drew a foul and had two free throws with Marquette down by one point. He made the first to tie the game but missed the second shot so it looked like the game would be headed to overtime. Not on Justin Lewis‘ watch. Lewis was able to tip the ball in as time expired to give Marquette the 67-65 win.

It is a tough first loss of the year for Wisconsin, especially considering they were leading nearly the entire way. The Badgers are scheduled to play Louisville next Wednesday.

#21 Oregon 83 vs. Seton Hall 70

Oregon ran away with this one in the second half, and Eugene Omoruyi was a big reason why. He scored 22 points by going 10-17 from the field. He is an All Pac-12 first-team caliber player and he showed why on Friday night in Omaha.

Will Richardson‘s thumb injury caused some concern about whether or not Dana Altman’s team would be able to remain a top-25 team but if they play like they did last night, they’ll be the best team in the Pac-12.

Seton Hall falls to 1-3 on the season after the 13-point loss with Penn State coming up on Sunday.

Bellarmine 54 vs. #6 Duke 76

Duke was coming off an upset loss at home to Michigan State on Tuesday and they rebounded with a win over Bellarmine. Matthew Hurt scored 24 points and Jaemyn Brakefield put up 12 in the victory.

The Blue Devils will have a tough matchup against #5 Illinois next Tuesday night. Jalen Johnson scored just nine points last night and will need to have a bounce-back game if Duke wants to avoid their second straight Tuesday night loss.

Games to Watch Today

#1 Gonzaga vs. #2 Baylor

How to Watch: Saturday, December 5, 1:00 PM ET, CBS

This will be the best matchup of the season and could potentially be a preview of the NCAA National Championship Game when all things are said and done. Gonzaga got a huge break after Jalen Suggs–biggest recruit ever–hurt his ankle and was helped off the court on Wednesday but managed to return in the second half.

He should feel better on Saturday and (along with Drew Timme and Corey Kispert) will need to bring the A-game if the Zags want to beat Scott Drew’s talented Baylor team. The Bears convincingly beat #5 Illinois on Wednesday 82-69 and will be ready to give their best effort to knock off the best team in the country.

North Dakota State vs. #7 Kansas

How to Watch: Saturday, December 5, 4:00 PM ET, ESPN+

Kansas will look to get another win coming off a three-point victory over Kentucky in the Champions Classic on Tuesday.

BYU vs. Utah State

Saturday, December 5, 9:00 PM ET

This is not a top-25 matchup, but these two teams could both be ranked at some point during the season.

Make sure to check back here tomorrow for a recap of today’s games and we’ll get you ready for tomorrow’s best matchups in college basketball!
