Bills Show Track Record of Drafting from Senior Bowl

Four out of the first six Bills picks in the 2017 NFL draft, including the first three Bills picks of the draft, all played in the Senior Bowl.

Tre White, Zay Jones, Dion Dawkins, and Nathan Peterman, all saw game time in Buffalo uniforms.  All of these players had a good week of practice before the bowl.

In 2018, four of their eight draft picks played in the game. Josh Allen, Harrison Phillips, Taron Johnson, and Wyatt Teller, all saw meaningful snaps this past season. With the exception of Tremaine Edmunds, who was not eligible to play in the Senior Bowl, three of the top four Bills picks played in the game.

All of these players had at least two years of starting experience for their college team. 11 of Buffalo’s last 14 picks have been seniors in college.

History shows they look for players with playing experience and maturity. This year’s Senior Bowl is loaded with some of the Bills biggest needs including wide receiver, offensive line, defensive line, and running back.

With this in mind, remember the names that you heard during the week leading up to the Senior Bowl; they are most likely very high on the Bills draft board.
