Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Hopefully, you are spending the day with loved ones and enjoying football. In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I’ve taken some of the fantasy football questions from Twitter and decided to answer them in the form of an article. Whether it’s a start/sit or trade question, I’m here to help. Without further ado, let’s get into it.
βMy weekly issue is to play Godwin or AB? I like AB’s target share, but he’s not catching TD’s yet. I personally favor AB – thoughts?β – @stephenjcam
Itβs going to be a weekly challenge to choose between the Buccaneersβ receivers this year, especially Godwin and Brown. This week, I also favor AB. Godwin scored last week, but Brown was targeted more and caught more balls. We all know Tom Brady loves him some Antonio Brown, so Iβd expect that trend to continue this week.Β
βDo I add Byrd or roll with A.J. Green and Reynolds on my bench??β – @tdubbswpg
Iβd ride the hot hand here and add Damiere Byrd. He dominated last week against the Texans, racking up six catches for 132 yards and a touchdown. Iβve seen a lot of Cam Newton over the years, and if one of his targets has a good game, he usually goes back to them consistently until the production dries up. For that reason, Iβd add Byrd and play him over Green and Reynolds this week.Β
βGus Edwards (PIT) or Damien Harris (AZ) PPR?β – @drewmet89
Iβd play Edwards. We just got news that this game has been postponed to Sunday, but Mark Ingram and J.K. Dobbins should still be out due to COVID-19, leaving Edwards to handle a large workload. He’s facing a stout Steelers run defense, but I like his prospects more than Harris, who will have to deal with Sony Michelβs return this week against the Cardinals.Β
βHayden Hurst or Evan Engram?β – @WookieATC78
If you asked me this question last week, the answer would have been Hurst without hesitation. However, after he put up a goose egg last game, itβs a tougher decision. Iβd still lean towards Hurst because heβs facing a bottom-five pass defense in Las Vegas. Meanwhile, Engram is just too volatile to trust.Β
βStandard scoring… Who do I flex: A.J. Brown, Miles Sanders, Mike Evans, or Ekeler?β – @RobertCanessa
If Ekeler plays, start him. Buffalo has been atrocious against the run this year. However, if Ekeler doesnβt go, Iβd play Mike Evans. Mile Sanders is in a committee now, which makes him hard to trust, and A.J. Brownβs matchup against the Colts is extremely difficult. That leaves Evans, whoβs set to face the Chiefs in a game that I think will be a shootout. Despite the crowded receiver room, Evans has found a way to significantly produce in back to back games. Iβd roll with him.Β
βPPR need an RB2 and flex:
Damien Harris, Giovani Bernard, Salvon Ahmed, AB, Corey Davis, Fulgham, Beasley
Have ab/ahmed in right now but thinking about putting bernard in for abβ – @xxtom_
Ahmed definitely deserves one of your starting spots, and Iβd leave Antonio Brown in over Gio Bernard this week. Gio has a favorable matchup, but we have no idea if the Bengals offense can move the ball with Brandon Allen under center. We do know, however, that Tom Brady is going to target Brown a lot this week, giving him the safer floor.Β
βStart 3. aj brown, Ddiontae Johnson, Curtis Samuel, JonathanΒ Taylor, Cole Beasley, Amari Cooper, Allen Lazard, Michael Pittman, or Sterling Shepard?β – @DoogieXr
At the risk of looking like a fool, Iβd start Jonathan Taylor this week. He took his 22 carries for 90 yards last game and was also involved in the passing game. I like his matchup against the Titans this week, so give one of your starting spots to Taylor. As for the other two, Iβd play Diontae Johnson and Curtis Samuel. I expect both to see a lot of targets, which should result in production. The only player Iβd consider starting over any of those three is A.J. Brown, but his matchup is too tough.Β
βPick 2: Zeke, Miles Sanders, Mostert, David Montgomeryβ – @caydenbruhhh
Assuming Mostert is healthy, Iβd start him and Zeke. The Eaglesβ backfield committee concerns me, and David Montgomery hasnβt proven enough to consider starting him over the rest of these guys. Elliott and Mostert will both see large workloads, and I like their chances of producing.Β
βAhmed, Bernard, Edmonds pick 2. 1/2 PPRβ – @aussie_th
As much as I love Chase Edmonds, you have to sit him this week. He just doesnβt see enough work to justify starting him over Ahmed and Bernard, who you know will get 12+ touches this week.Β
βI run a league and a 10 win team is trying to trade JuJu to a 3 win team for Diontae Johnson. PPR. Is that fair considering JuJu’s injury and status on the depth chart??β – @AllNewSmile
JuJuβs injury doesnβt appear to be too serious, so Iβd say itβs a fair deal. I would rather have Diontae Johnson on my team, but it doesnβt seem like collusion of any sort, so Iβd say it shouldnβt be vetoed.Β
