As we make headway towards free agency, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have much to address. With the retirement news of Tom Brady and Chris Godwin possibly entering free agency, Tampa Bay has much to address this offseason. With the stage set for the NFL Combine, the Buccaneers head into the draft with the 27th overall pick. The Buccaneers have several holes in their roster and the draft could play a crucial role to retool the gaps in the roster. Whether a first-round receiver or a late quarterback selection, the Buccaneers have plenty to address heading into the draft.

Round 1, Pick 27: Drake London, WR, USC
While Godwin hits the market and Rob Gronkowski is unassertive about his NFL future, the Buccaneers should invest in a young receiver to enhance their offense. London seems to be a great fit for the Buccaneers. While he would share a slot with all-star Mike Evans, building chemistry between the two can manufacture a dynamic duo. London’s 6’5″ frame paired with his elite hands can produce a high-class receiver. Whatever quarterback the Buccaneers settle on, London would be a great asset to Tampa Bay nevertheless.

Round 2, Pick 60: Derion Kendrick, CB, Georgia
With Richard Sherman retiring and Carlton Davis heading towards free agency, Kendrick can be a considerable alternative to recondition the secondary. The cornerback out of Georgia has a ton of upside to his game. His excel on man and zone coverage paired with his ability to locate the ball in all situations. If selected, Kendrick would join the secondary which embodies Jamel Dean and Ross Cockrell. Even if Davis returns next season, adding Kendrick in the second round is a smart decision.

Round 3, Pick 91: Rasheed Walker, OL, Penn State
As the drastic retirement news of offensive guard Ali Marpet becomes reality, the Buccaneers are in search of a replacement. With a late third-round pick, Tampa Bay should consider targeting Walker. The offensive from Penn State has a tough 6’6″ build and has superior strength when creating blocks for teammates. While struggling in a few areas of his game, Walker can evolve into a high-caliber lineman if he cleans up his flaws.
Round 4, Pick 131: Brian Robinson Jr., RB, Alabama
While not first-round quality, Robinson has proven to be a running back that can contend at the next level. Leading the Crimson Tide in all rushing categories in 2021 improved Robinson’s draft value. The young running back has the perfect build. Standing at 6’1″ with 226 pounds, his build gives him the tools to pound the ground game. However, Robinson has much to improve but can be a major factor in the years to come. With Leonard Fournette and Ronald Jones upcoming free agents, the Buccaneers need to address the running back position.
Round 5, Pick 169: Gerrit Prince, TE, UAB
Seemingly a late-round pick, Prince is a solid option to fall back on. With Gronkowski hesitant about his future, Tampa Bay will need help at the tight end position. Coming out of UAB, Prince seems to be a solid tight end. While his hands are rough around the edges, Prince is an exceptional route runner as well as a well-grounded deep threat. His blocking can use some work, but Prince will hopefully progress as his game matures.
Round 7, Pick 245: Christopher Hinton, DL, Michigan
With the Buccaneers in need of a defensive lineman, Hinton could potentially be the answer. With a 6’4″ frame, Hinton utilizes his size well and is an excellent pass-rusher. That said, he is far from flawless and needs much improvement in order to contend in the NFL. Hinton will most likely hear his name called towards the end of the draft and the Buccaneers are a considerable landing spot for the youngster.
