Welcome to another one of our Season Previews! This time around, we’ll discuss the Winnipeg Jets. Last season ended shockingly for the Jets after being swept by the Montreal Canadiens in the second round of the playoffs.
During the 2021 NHL Entry Draft, the Winnipeg Jets made four total selections. There were no draft day trades made by general manager Kevin Cheveldayoff who seemed just fine to stand pat where the team was at.
It may have had its ups and downs, but overall it was a good season for the Winnipeg Jets. They ended the season finishing third in the North Division, putting them up against the Edmonton Oilers in the first round of the playoffs.

Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl formed the best duo in the NHL during the 2020-21 season. The two have only appeared in three playoff series as members of the Edmonton Oilers, and not until now have they matched up against a Canadian foe in the postseason.
The ongoing saga and proverbial dark cloud that was Pierre-Luc Dubois and the Columbus Blue Jackets has finally come to an end. Saturday night is usually a big night in NHL and tonight is no different as we have 11 games to choose from on the main slate. Tonight the focus will be Boston hosting the Devils, the Jets and Blackhawks in Chicago, the surging Carolina Hurricanes looking to stay undefeated versus the Blue Jackets and the Maple Leafs looking to rebound at Detroit. Let’s drop the puck and make some Ice Picks.
