There have been times the New York Rangers were better on the road than they were at home. Unfortunately, this road trip is not a prime example of that.
The third full week of the 2021-2022 NHL season is nearing completion. Much to the dismay of hockey fans everywhere, Covid-19 has continued to loom large over the league.
It was a tough 2020 campaign for the Vancouver Canucks. A few injuries and a massive COVID-19 outbreak at the end of the season were just parts of a difficult season where they finished last in the North division amongst all of their Canadian peers.
As we inch closer to the start of training camp and the subsequent 2021-22 National Hockey League campaign, the Vancouver Canucks are well-positioned to have a big bounce-back season. Stemming from this bounce-back is a solid offseason from general manager Jim Benning.
Heading into October, things are certainly on the rise in Western Canada after a strong offseason from general manager Jim Benning. In our first of a two-part series, let’s further examine the offseason moves from the Canucks.
The Vancouver Canucks made six selections during the 2021 NHL Draft. The team agreed with the Arizona Coyotes on a trade, sending the ninth pick while acquiring right-winger Conor Garland and defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson.
The 2020-2021 season for the Vancouver Canucks was a strange one, thanks to Covid-19. The team had a number of games moved due to players and staff testing positive. Most of the team and coaching staff were back in by the time April came, and they appeared to be on their way to having a chance to make the playoffs.
We are at it again with more picks. My focus will be on the high-flying North Division, the battle of Alberta, and the league’s best team continues their Western Canadian road trip.
On to another week and another slate. Tonight, we are looking at a couple of favorites to get the job done. Let’s get into some Ice Picks.

Years of playoff failures and shortcomings were washed away after their emphatic Game 7 triumph over the Boston Bruins.
