The preseason is here. For many players, that means a chance to achieve a lifelong dream of making the 53-man roster. However, not everyone can have their wishes fulfilled.
The calendar has flipped to August. For fans of the NFL, it means football through February. As teams are gearing up for the rapidly approaching regular season, it’s time for the final edition of Tennessee Titans True or False until the offseason returns.
The 2020 season saw the Tennessee Titans win the AFC South Division. Contrary to their Cinderella playoff run in 2019 (when they fell just one win short of playing in the Super Bowl), they were one-and-done in the postseason.
While the 2021 NFL season is still months away, it is never too early to prepare for the fantasy season. Today, I am going to give three bold fantasy predictions for the Tennessee Titans in 2021.
The Tennessee Titans were very active in the offseason. Because of salary cap issues, the Titans had to let Corey Davis and Jonnu Smith leave in free agency. However, the Titans were able to add Julio Jones. After their wild offseason, let’s take a look at what fantasy players can expect from the Titans this season.
NFL fans rejoice, the 2021 season is just on the horizon. It’s the last month without football until March. Regardless of what team they root for, they widely remain optimistic that this is their year. Even the pessimistic fans are hopeful enough, besides their team has yet to lose a game this season.
The Tennessee Titans franchise, previously the Houston Oilers, has been in existence since 1960. The franchise won the first two AFL Championships and four division titles. In 1970 they joined the NFL. In the 51 years since they haven’t achieved the same success as the decade in the AFL.
When the Tennessee Titans Pro Bowl quarterback Steve McNair suffered a serious chest injury early in the 2004 season, the Titans placed their fortunes in the hands of a quarterback who was far from a household name. An undrafted free agent out of Fresno State, Billy Volek.
The Tennessee Titans acquired Julio Jones in a trade with the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. It is fitting that this week’s edition of Thursday Throwback looks at the best receivers in Titans/Oilers franchise history.
While the 2021 NFL season is still a few months away, it’s never too early to look ahead. Fan bases will argue day and night about who has the better team. Instead of debating the entire roster, why not debate positions. In the third part of a 12 part series, I will rank each team’s wide receiver position. These rankings are a culmination of what the player has done over the entirety of their career, how they performed last season and projecting how they will play this upcoming season.
After the acquisition of Julio Jones, there is one more piece that would put the Titans’ offense further over the top, and maybe (at least on paper) better than the reigning back-to-back AFC champs.
