Did we have an impressive group of rookies in week nine or what? While most weeks we’ve had a few remarkable performances, this past week was full of breakout performances from players we were waiting to go off. While week one saw four pass catchers with 100 or more yards, week nine saw several receivers, running backs, and defensive players alike put up career games. Who stepped up big time? Who thrived under pressure? Find out in this week’s edition of the NFL Rookie Rankings. As always, let’s begin with a couple of honorable mentions.

All my plays are based on DraftKings pricing. It’s also important to note that when I list a player as a fade, I do not mean I will have 0% of them, but I will be way under the field as far as exposure goes, and likely will not play them on single entry lineups.

The story of week seven was the re-emergence of Aaron Rodgers as an elite fantasy quarterback. This week features an absolute smash spot for Deshaun Watson and the Houston Texans. We’ll also see Kirk Cousins look to continue his hot streak in a revenge game against the Washington Redskins. We’re almost at the half-way point of the season and hopefully, you are contending in your leagues. If not, it’s time to turn the season around. On to the rankings!
Well, week seven started with a bang and in a negative manner. With the Patrick Mahomes injury uncertainty that has left a lot of owners scrambling to find a win this week. We might be able to offer those answers in finding that win and to help fantasy football players with their roster construction, three of our writers have provided some insight on which players they would start, would sit, and consider a sleeper for week seven. If you’re reading this, you’re in a mood. Either an amazing mood, as the Packers walk away with a 23-22 victory over the Lions, or a mood as only Stephen A. Smith could describe, which is the mood of most Lions fans-including yours truly. We feel like the Herman’s Hermits line that was in this title, “Oh me, oh my”, we’re Leaning on the Lamp Post. It’s something that happens year after year with this team. From the batted ball against Seattle to the 10-second runoff against Atlanta, and do I even mention the picked up Pass Interference Flag against Dallas in the playoffs? The list goes on and on.

Here’s hope that your week five was a success and you started Will Fuller and didn’t sit him on the bench. If you started Mike Evans, here’s hope the rest of your squad pulled the weight and got you the win. Though on to week six and looking to recover from last week or keep the momentum going and to help fantasy football players with their roster construction, three of our writers have provided some insight on which players they would start, would sit, and consider a sleeper for week six. Week four of the NFL is behind us and at the quarter mark of the 2019 season, there have been a few surprises. If you had told me before this season that the top two rookie quarterbacks were going to be Gardner Minshew and Daniel Jones, I would have thought you were crazy but here we are. While some household names on offense have struggled, more defensive players were able to make their mark this past week and it was impressive. But that’s enough talk for now, let’s dig into these rankings starting with a couple of honorable mentions.
