Everyone’s favorite conference is back in action for what looks to be another thrilling year of football. The Sun Belt (or Fun Belt, as named by the fans) fell under the national spotlight last year because of crazy colors, upsets, and exciting new teams in the college football world.
This game is a battle of Eagles. Georgia Southern will take on Eastern Michigan in Alabama today at 5:30pm ET. This game shapes up to be very low-scoring with both defenses ranked in the top 45 in the country.
Appalachian State enters its R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl matchup against Middle Tennessee without a permanent head coach. Having just recently lost Scott Satterfield to Louisville, Mark Ivey will step in and coach the Mountaineers for now. Middle Tennessee is playing in a school-record fourth straight bowl game and fifth in the last six years. They will be looking to bounce back, after blowing the Conference USA Title in a 27-25 nail-biter against UAB in early December.
