Building momentum in Sean McDermott’s third season as head coach, the Buffalo Bills won 10 games for the first time since 1995 last season. They made their second straight wild-card playoff berth. Guided by an outstanding defense that finished top two in the league and the improved play of quarterback Josh Allen, the team began to prove they are an emerging contender in the AFC.
Every year the NFL Network does its top 100 countdown based on the previous season. However, that’s the past, and we want to look forward to the future. Check out the first three!
The Baltimore Ravens made it six straight wins on Sunday, to move three games ahead of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Last week’s Thursday night game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos wasn’t much of a contest. Despite the Chiefs losing star quarterback Patrick Mahomes in the second quarter with a dislocated kneecap, the Broncos didn’t score after the opening drive and went on to lose 30-6. Hopefully, tonight’s game between the Washington Redskins and Minnesota Vikings is more entertaining, but I wouldn’t get my hopes up.
If you’re reading this, you’re in a mood. Either an amazing mood, as the Packers walk away with a 23-22 victory over the Lions, or a mood as only Stephen A. Smith could describe, which is the mood of most Lions fans-including yours truly. We feel like the Herman’s Hermits line that was in this title, “Oh me, oh my”, we’re Leaning on the Lamp Post. It’s something that happens year after year with this team. From the batted ball against Seattle to the 10-second runoff against Atlanta, and do I even mention the picked up Pass Interference Flag against Dallas in the playoffs? The list goes on and on.
