One Breakout for Each AFC East Team
While the NFL season is a fair distance away, it is never too early to predict the next wave of stars and superstars across the NFL.

The Buffalo Bills captured the AFC East title for the second straight season. They won 11 games and just their second division crown in the last 20 years.
Selecting 30th overall after losing to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game, the Buffalo Bills headed into the 2021 NFL Draft with needs at edge, cornerback, running back, and wide receiver.
Spencer Brown is a top ten player at his position and I’m not talking about the tackle. While the Northern Iowa tackle has gotten a lot of hype, there is another player with the same name that is a good football player as well. This one is a running back from UAB. He ran for over 4,000 yards, 41 rushing touchdowns, and 19 career games with over 100 yards. Brown is seen as a consensus undrafted pick, but there is certainly more talent than that.
The 2021 draft is filled with prospects from small schools. The FCS level is bringing some to the NFL this year, including two from Northern Iowa. The Panthers are sending Spencer Brown to the draft, who many see as the best developmental tackle in the class.
After tanking a promising season, the Pittsburgh Steelers look to have one last shot at a Super Bowl. Up against the cap, Pittsburgh needs to strike on multiple picks to fill enormous voids. They simply cannot afford to miss on any picks in this draft.
The Packers once again didn’t sign a big-name on the open market. Following free agency, Green Bay’s teams remain unchanged. Unfortunately, the draft board has vastly changed, and some player’s stocks have soared, while others have fallen.
The Tennessee Titans were quite active during the free agency period. The Titans’ biggest holes remaining are cornerback, receiver, tight end, right tackle, and strong safety. Depth at linebacker and pass rusher could also be addressed.
After finishing the 2020 season with a 5-11 record, the Detroit Lions have made several changes, including trading Matthew Stafford. Let’s dive into the Lions pre free agency seven-round mock draft.
Two newly crowned conference champions in the Northern Illinois Huskies and UAB Blazers will meet in Boca Raton to do battle today at 7:00pm ET. NIU, appearing in its 13th bowl game, in fact, played Marshall in the first ever Boca Raton Bowl, back in 2014. UAB returns to its second consecutive bowl after having just won the Conference USA Title on December 1, over Middle Tennessee State 27-25. Less than two years after the program was back in full swing, having folded in 2014.
