MLB DFS Diamond Picks August 12

Welcome to another edition of Diamond Picks. Tonight’s slate appears to be one where we can distribute a good chunk of salary towards higher-priced bats. There a couple of arms that profile well to fill out the lineup cards, and they shouldn’t necessarily break the bank. No time like the present to jump into lineup construction. As always best of luck these suggestions!

ALDS Preview: New York Yankees vs Minnesota Twins

Two teams that won over 100 games this season will begin their battle in the Bronx tonight at 7:07 ET. This series should be full of scoring as the Yankees and Twins were #1 and #2 in HRs (Twins 307-Yankees 306) and runs (Yankees 943-Twins 939). The pitching will have to be on point for both sides and mistakes in the field and on the basepaths will give the other side extra outs. Neither team can afford that with the firepower these squads have. Let’s break down the matchup.

MLB DFS: Arms, Bats, and Stacks for September 17th, 2019

With the MLB season winding down, we won’t have many more opportunities to take advantage and make some money playing DFS. We need to capitalize on the remaining opportunities. That brings us to tonight’s slate of 14 games, starting a little later than normal at 7:05 ET. On the docket, we have a game at Coors Field which we always have to prioritize one way or the other, as well as some pitchers in good spots. To save you time and research, I went ahead and put some work in for you. The daily grind keeps rolling and we aren’t slowing down for anything or anyone. It’s time to get right back to it. Here are some of my favorite DFS plays for tonight’s games.

Into the 80s with Tom Greene- Minnesota Twins

Two days after the Atlanta Braves joined the 80-win club, the Minnesota Twins join the party. In Atlanta, there seems to be doubt as far as the pitching goes. In Minnesota, fans and broadcasters (like Jenny Taft, Jamie Hersch, Marney Gellner, Dawn Mitchell, Jamie Erdahl, and Kevin Gorg,) are simply excited that this season has exceeded expectations. Of course, this is said on one condition. Our @jball0202 expects championships in Minnesota, and nothing else (maybe championship-style writing from me? I do my best.)

DraftKings Around the Horn August 28th, 2019

We will get to pitching momentarily, first up is a glance at the highest implied run totals for today’s 11 game evening slate. A massive run line of 14 runs easily leads the way as the Boston Red Sox, who all the sudden are running along very nicely(8-3 in their last 11), visit Coors Field and the Colorado Rockies. Twins, White Sox are at 10.5, Rangers and Angels as well as Pirates, Phillies are both set at 10 and the Indians/ Tigers chime in at 9.5. Let’s break down some picks, hop on board, we’re going Around the Horn!

MLB DFS: Tough Tuesday Picks for July 16, 2019

When I first looked at the pitchers lined up for tonight’s full boat of games, I may or may not have vomited in my mouth a little bit. With this many games, you wouldn’t expect it to be such a struggle to find good pitching, from a fantasy perspective at least. The pitching we would normally pay for at certain ranges is priced ridiculously high because of the lack of pitching overall. Nothing against Lance Lynn, because he’s been terrific so far this season, but when he’s the highest-priced pitcher on Draftkings, you know it’s going to be an uphill battle and similar to pulling teeth to put together some solid lineups. The best advice I can give, don’t watch any of these guys actually pitch. Not because they are terrible pitchers, but because you will drive yourself crazy. Watch the games you have hitters from unless there is some correlation between the two and then I don’t know what to tell you. I’m sorry suffer away. Now, let’s get into the toothaches and picks for tonight’s games. Excuse me. Locks and Stacks.

MLB DFS: Locks, Stacks, and Barrels for June 12, 2019

Normally, any slate that features Justin Verlander, it’s almost a certainty you are playing him at one of your starting pitcher spots and moving on from there. Tonight, however, is a little bit trickier than that. Verlander draws a tough matchup on the road against the Milwaukee Brewers. The Brewers hit for power and Verlander can give some up. You will definitely want some exposure to Verlander to some capacity in tournaments, but maybe it’s best we look elsewhere in cash games. With that said, let’s dive in and take a look at today’s Locks, Stacks, and Barrels.
