The Brooklyn Nets formed arguably the most talented big three in NBA history last season. However, James Harden and Kyrie Irving weren’t able to stay healthy in the playoffs. Their injuries and Joe Harris’ bad shooting performance left Kevin Durant tasked with carrying Brooklyn in the second round. He was inches away from sending them to the conference finals but he watched the Bucks win the title weeks later.

The Miami Heat acquired Kyle Lowry last week in a sign-and-trade agreement with the Toronto Raptors. Even though they’re currently being investigated for tampering, the move is not expected to be voided. So Miami should keep its new point guard.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the Miami Heat was viewed as favorites to land Kyle Lowry on Sunday. Miami is expected to include Goran Dragic and Precious Achuiwa in a sign-and-trade deal for Lowry. Wojnarowski also noted that other Lowry suitors–Dallas Mavericks and New Orleans Pelicans–are starting to look elsewhere. Even though Lowry seems likely, Miami is still looking for more.
