The Browns were stopped inside the five yard-line four straight times and fell 20-13 to the reigning NFC Champion, Los Angeles Rams. The Browns were missing seven starters, including Denzel Ward, Greedy Williams, Damarious Randall, David Njoku, and Rashard Higgins.
The Cleveland Browns picked up their first win of the season Monday night, defeating the New York Jets 23-3 at Metlife stadium. The Browns improve to 1-1 while the Jets fall to 0-2 and are in a deep hole.
It was a rough first week for the new-look Cleveland Browns as they fell to the Tennessee Titans by a score of 43-13. There is no way around it, this was an embarrassing, and unacceptable performance from the Browns.
It’s hard to believe that we are talking about a team that won seven games last season, being darkhorse contenders. It’s also hard to believe that the team we are talking about is the Cleveland Browns.
The Cleveland Browns finished the 2018 campaign with a 7-8-1 record. For 99 percent of teams, this would be a season to forget. But when you are 1-31 over your previous two seasons, this is an amazing start to an amazing rebuild.
The Browns rookie class was highlighted by Baker Mayfield, who broke the NFL rookie touchdown record with 27. The Browns also got production from rookies Nick Chubb, Denzel Ward, and Antonio Callaway.
After a loss to Pittsburgh, Hue Jackson and Todd Haley were fired and replaced by Greg Williams and Freddie Kitchens.
