With Anaheim 1 Supercross just a little over a month out, a major retirement has just hit the AMA paddock. 2020 AMA Motocross 450 National Champion, and two-time 250 Regional Supercross Champion Zach Osborne has called it a career.
Let’s rewind back to mid-July to start things off. Jeffery Herlings at his home Grand Prix in the Netherlands had Ivo Monticelli land on his shoulder right off the start.
The final destination on the FIM World Motocross Championship Callander has been hit. Mantova, which hosted this year’s Motocross Des Nations, is now deciding the MXGP Class title hunt.
The third and final stop at the world-class Trentino circuit in the MXGP season went down on Sunday. After a disastrous run just days ago, Jeffery Herlings saw his points lead collapse to almost nothing.
It started becoming a matter of if not when the further this season went, but now it is official. Maxime Renaux, the 21-year-old out of France has officially clinched this year’s MX2 World Title two rounds early.
After a quick couple of days off, the MXGP and MX2 riders got right back to action in Trentino. The second of three races at the scenic 1.55-mile circuit was also only the second, but the final midweek event of the season.
The final stretch of the 2021 World Motocross Championship has begun in Italy. The first leg of this stretch is taking place in the Autonomous Region of Trentino.
The MXGP season has hit Jorge Prado’s neck of the woods in Spain for round 13 of the year. Jeffery Herlings looked to keep a stranglehold on the MXGP Points lead over Romain Febvre and Tim Gajser.
The lone MXGP trip to France went down yesterday from Lacapelle Marival. After an eventful round in Germany, Jorge Prado was back after his incident with Jeffery Herlings.

October 1 serves as what could be considered the opening of “free agency” in the Supercross/Motocross realm. Although 99-percent of deals are done well ahead of time, that is more or less the date they are officially announced.
