The weekend kicks off Friday night with a nice main slate schedule of 15 games. The pitching landscape appears to be full of great choices to pay up for so if that’s the route you take finding the right combinations of lower-priced options could be key. Normally, any slate that features Justin Verlander, it’s almost a certainty you are playing him at one of your starting pitcher spots and moving on from there. Tonight, however, is a little bit trickier than that. Verlander draws a tough matchup on the road against the Milwaukee Brewers. The Brewers hit for power and Verlander can give some up. You will definitely want some exposure to Verlander to some capacity in tournaments, but maybe it’s best we look elsewhere in cash games. With that said, let’s dive in and take a look at today’s Locks, Stacks, and Barrels.

This game is the second game of a day/night doubleheader. Make sure that all three of these guys are playing in game two. Adrian Sampson is coming off of a fantastic outing but that won’t continue today. You can get these three guys for decent value. This team can put up a lot of runs, so you don’t want to miss out if that is the case today.
A full schedule to dissect for tonight awaits us. The Milwaukee Brewers and Houston Astros are in fine spots and will likely be very popular when targeting offense. The pitching landscape has plenty of good to great options, no clear cut favorite but we can feel fairly confident with a couple aces that are in good spots. The Oakland Athletics have kicked it up a notch with a lengthy winning streak of late and have bumped up the ranks significantly. The Cleveland Indians, due to injuries and a thinner depth chart, are struggling, while the Atlanta Braves have really turned it on of late winning 12 of their last 18 games. DraftKings has got seven games for the main slate so let’s build some lineups!
A good amount of top tier pitchers are available today so most lineups will feature a big-name pitcher. As of this writing there doesn’t appear to be any weather concerns so we shouldn’t have that to factor in.
