Another week has passed by which means it’s time once again for NHL power rankings. This week, they are many teams that are streaking, one way or the other, which makes for some interesting movement this week.
With the beginning of February in sight, the 2021 NHL Season is more than halfway in the books. The year continues to be dominated by unlikely faces.
We are now one-third of the way through the 2021 NHL Season. There has been no shortage of storylines throughout the league early on.
Well, folks, another week has gone by in the NHL which means another edition of power rankings. As always, a reminder that a loss or win doesn’t always mean that one team will be ranked higher than a team they beat or lost to. Without further ado, we have a lot of movement this week so let’s jump in.
With one month remaining in the year, happy December to hockey fans everywhere. It is hard to believe that the 2021 NHL season is already almost two months, in the books.
Rolling right along with the 2021-2022 NHL season, November is officially upon us. With a month of every team’s campaigns now in the rearview mirror, crunch time is upon us.
What a year it was for the Minnesota Wild. After a season that went beyond many fans’ expectations and the long-awaited debut of Calder Trophy winner Kirill Kaprizov, it was quite the whirlwind for the Wild during the 2020-21 season.
During the 2021 NHL Entry Draft, the Minnesota Wild came into the draft with nine picks but made seven total selections. General manager Bill Guerin made two draft-day trades, moving up in the first round and moving back into the fourth round as a result.
In a season where expectations were low, the Minnesota Wild surpassed those expectations and more. The Wild were in the fight for first in the Pacific Division until the bitter end with the Vegas Golden Knights and the Colorado Avalanche. In the end, they finished third in the division and entered an intense playoff series with the Golden Knights.
The NHL playoffs are underway and we continue our series previews, taking a look at the West Division for the series between the Minnesota Wild and the Vegas Golden Knights.
