In 10 outings since Nick Anderson was traded from the Marlins to the Rays, he has allowed no runs and no walks.

Yehuda Schwartz looks ahead to 2020 and predicts which 2019 MLB draft selections will have the quickest path to the majors.

The 2019 MLB season is now in its stretch run, closing out the final year of this decade. So I thought it would be fun to put together a team of the best players by position for the 2010s All-Decade Team. A couple picks are definitely no-brainers, with others being tougher to come to a decision. Without further ado, here we go. Let the arguments commence.
Weather is definitely a concern tonight. Be sure to recheck every game before locking your lineups. It’s weird to say, especially because Chris Sale is on the slate tonight, and we are always worried about his massive strikeout upside, but I think we can save a few bucks at pitcher tonight.
This is what the Miami Marlins’ starting pitching rotation could’ve been if they were able to keep their former players.
In the last two years, a few teams in Major League Baseball have been experimenting with what is now termed “the opener”. The opener is a high-leverage reliever that a team uses to start the game. He will usually throw one or two innings at the max. The goal of the opener is to get through the top half of the lineup so that the starter who takes over later on will not have to face the top of the opposing batting order more than twice in a game. The Tampa Bay Rays were the first team to experiment with the opener using relievers, Ryne Stanek and Sergio Romo (now of the Miami Marlins).

Pull shots, moonshots, wall scrapers, and of course opposite-field blasts otherwise known as oppo tacos.
Eric Sogard’s 2 home runs, 5 RBI help Rays outlast the Marlins in an 8-6 seesaw battle that saw six lead changes.
What could the Miami Marlins have looked like today if things went differently? Could the perennial last-place team have been the next MLB dynasty?
The 2019 MLB season has come with a record number of home runs as well as a record number of strikeouts. However, many people forget the long plate appearances that this season is producing. With these long plate appearances come a record number of foul balls going into the stands.
You have to risk it to get the biscuit. You’ve heard the saying before, but when it pertains to daily fantasy lineups it can be especially pertinent. With that said, I like the Miami Marlins again tonight against Dylan Covey as a lower-owned stack. Not quite sure we can use them in cash games, but let’s take a look at some players that we can.
