The first quarter of the NBA season is done. Most teams have already played their 21st game and have 60 plus games to go. So if you find your favorite team in the bottom half of the standings, you can relax because there’s a lot of basketball left to play.
Each year, the NBA has teams that overperform or disappoint at the start of the season. The NBA is filled with parity of late, and franchises can find themselves going in the complete opposite direction of what they had expected.
Despite having control for long stretches, and many opportunities in overtime, the Heat couldn’t put the Los Angeles Lakers away. With huge production from their reserves, the Lakers were able to escape with a win. The loss puts Miami at 7-4 for the season.
The NBA season is back in full swing this week. The season kicked off Tuesday with the Milwaukee Bucks defeating the Brooklyn Nets and The Golden State Warriors taking down the Los Angeles Lakers. This is the first set of power rankings for the year, so expect a lot of movement on what could be a crazy season.
The NBA season is finally here. For most of us that means it is time to start making money on the betting side of things.
The Los Angeles Lakers finished the 2020-21 season with a 42-30 record. Los Angeles struggled with injuries all year long, with the team’s key players missing several games throughout the campaign.
Many questions exist for the newly constructed Los Angeles Lakers. Discussion points include can their star players co-exist, are they too old, and where do they stand among NBA contenders?
Portland Trail Blazers superstar guard Damian Lillard will be requesting a trade in the coming days. Lillard has spent the last nine seasons with the team that drafted him, and the team had not shown great improvement from year to year. The team has been stuck as a Western Conference playoff squad but has very little success past the first round.
Cleveland Cavaliers guard Collin Sexton has recently been inserted into off-season trade rumors. The Cavs guard is eligible for an extension this off-season, adding fuel to the speculation that the Cavaliers will field offers for their scoring guard.
The playoffs for the 2020-2021 NBA season finally arrived. This year’s edition will probably be as memorable as last year’s NBA Bubble because of games being played during the COVID-era. The biggest difference is that the games are no longer being played in Orlando but in actual NBA arenas. So traveling between cities and playing in front of the opponent’s crowd is back in the mix.
There will be a new NBA Champion this season. After three straight losses to the Phoenix Suns, the Los Angeles Lakers lost in the first round of the NBA Playoffs. It is not the ending the defending champions wanted.
