There is something about October that is infused with excitement. Perhaps it is the start of the NBA season informing our brains that the wait is finally over.
It must be weird facing your former team. It is, without a doubt, an awkward feeling when past teammates become your enemies. How would a player or coach deal with it? Does it add any more pressure? We can only guess, but we know that they will do anything to eliminate the team they used to play for.
The most wonderful time of the year is (almost) here. Whether you love or hate the NBA play-in tournament, it always adds stakes to the end of the season. It certainly also does not hurt that this tournament consists of LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Steph Curry, Joel Embiid, and Jimmy Butler having to play in big games.
Some NBA plays are so iconic that we are forced to label them. “Dunk of the Year,” “Block of the Year,” and “Game-winner of the Year” are among some of the most recognizable superlatives.
Chris, John, and Matt sit with their friend, Timmy, to discuss the Lakers vs. Warriors game from Saturday night, whether the NBA should be concerned when LeBron James and Stephen Curry retire, and a breakdown of the March Madness Tournament.
In the NBA this week, the Dallas Mavericks and Los Angeles Lakers will combine to give us at least five quality games. We break down their Western Conference opponents because how they perform will definitely have an impact on the standings. Additionally, there is one “race” out in the East that can be quite amusing to watch.
This was an extremely productive deadline for the league. Although there were not many splashes, plenty of teams made smaller moves. However, some teams made better moves than others.
For some fans, next week might be the last full week where they get to see their favorite baller playing
Back to regular programming. Now that the In-Season Tournament is over, everyone can go back to the “normal” feel of the NBA schedule.
