Welcome to Championship Sunday. The Super Bowl gets all the glamor and praise, but in my opinion, Championship Sunday is the best day of the year for us football fans. Let’s get straight to our favorite DFS picks for today’s games.
In 1966, the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Buffalo Bills 31-7 in the AFL Championship. However, the Bills returned the favor defeating the Chiefs 30-14 in the AFC Title game in 1974. On Sunday, the postseason rubber match could shape the balance of power in the AFC for the foreseeable future.
Entering the postseason, many expected the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs to meet up in the AFC Championship Game as they were the two best teams in the conference this season. To very few’s surprise, that’s what we got. While both team’s fan base will have their eyes glued to the game, watching every play with the utmost attention, gamblers only care for what will lead to money in their pockets.
In a rematch between two of the AFC’s premier offenses, the Buffalo Bills travel to Kansas City to battle the Chiefs this Sunday in the conference championship game. Among the final four teams in the league for the first time in over 20 seasons, the Bills thrillingly defeated the Baltimore Ravens a week ago.
It’s Divisional Sunday, and I am more than stoked to watch these matchups. As the playoffs roll on, the games get better and better. What’s better than watching great football games? Making money while watching. Here are some players I’ll be targeting in both Cash Games and GPPs/Tournaments.
The Cleveland Browns (12-5) head to Missouri to take on the Kansas City Chiefs (14-2) for an AFC Divisional Round matchup.
Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs made headlines in recent weeks for allegedly setting an NFL record with 16 dropped interceptions during the season. This is likely not a record as stats such as dropped interceptions have only recently been calculated, but it is an alarming trend for the quarterback that is considered the best quarterback in football.
The final week of the NFL season was a true thriller. Joe Heller continues his series by looking at the most notable Week 17 takeaways.
The Los Angeles Chargers (6-9) head to the Midwest to take on the Kansas City Chiefs (14-1). For the Chargers, a win today against the Chiefs could save head coach Anthony Lynn his job moving forward. Meanwhile, the Chiefs are looking to become the fifth team since 2000 to lose no more than one game.
Aaron Rodgers is the NFL MVP. He may not be the overwhelmingly most talented quarterback in the league anymore, although on a given night Rodgers gives Patrick Mahomes a run for his money, Rodgers is clearly the most valuable player in the NFL.
