The NFL season is winding down and that means one thing. It’s playoff season and the AFC runs through Arrowhead, an idea that might make Chiefs fans nervous but what might make them more nervous is seeing Andrew Luck on the other sideline. I was in Indianapolis the day Andrew Luck led a massive 28-point comeback against the Chiefs whose offense and defense as a whole broke down and allowed the Colts to take advantage and lead Indy to one of the many Chiefs heartbreaks.
It’s no secret how bad the Colts offensive line was in 2017 – they allowed 56 sacks and forced their quarterbacks to constantly run for their lives every play. They were rated the worst offensive line by many of the NFL’s experts, and the offensive line was a focal point of improvement that the Colts needed to make to keep their newly healthy QB Andrew Luck on his feet.
Andrew Luck and the Colts just rolled past the Houston Texans, and now they get the chance to face a team and coach Luck has already defeated in the postseason.
To kick off the 2018 NFL playoffs, Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts traveled deep into the heart of Texas
The NFL playoffs are upon us and Prime Time Sports Talk is celebrating with weekly picks of the do-or-die matchups.
As the NFL prepares for wild card weekend a quick look at injuries for each team that might impact the outcome of the games is warranted. Most of the teams involved in this weekends games come into the playoffs in decent shape as far as injuries are concerned. Considering 17 weeks of the season have been played and several players are on IR, their status is already known. This article will look at players still on the active rosters of each team.
The first game of the NFL Playoffs has the potential to be one of the best wildcard matchups this weekend. The Indianapolis Colts were only the third team in NFL history to work themselves back from a 1-5 hole and win a playoff spot. As remarkable as that feat is. You have the Houston Texans, who were the first team to survive a 0-3 start and punch their ticket.
Miami Dolphins running back Frank Gore went down with a sprained foot playing against the Minnesota Vikings, and with the Dolphins on the outskirts of the playoffs (7-7) with only one wild card spot left and three different teams being 8-6 (Tennessee Titans, Indianapolis Colts and the Baltimore Ravens) It looks like a long shot for the Dolphins to weasel into the playoffs.
Jack Doyle Tight End for the Indianapolis Colts has more than playing for the same team in common with his quarterback Andrew Luck. Both players now have the experience of suffering a serious injury to their kidney following a hit during a game in their careers. Doyle spent Sunday night in the hospital after needing a procedure to treat a lacerated kidney.
The fantasy playoffs are quickly approaching. This season is really flying by! Week 9 brings more bye weeks and some prominent players and defenses to cover for. Let’s check it out. But first, like always, last week’s recap.
Week 7 streaming went pretty well if you tuned in. Hope you snagged some of the featured players. Unfortunately, Ricky Seals-Jones got injured and did not return to the blowout game Thursday night. Let’s get right to Week 8.
