COVID is now starting to affect our rookie rankings, placing Evan Mobley, Scottie Barnes, and Cade Cunningham on the COVID reserves list. With a brand new week done around the association, let’s look at some new faces who have performed well.
Heading into Tuesday’s matchup against the Indiana Pacers, the Miami Heat appeared to be the inferior team. However, Miami was prepared for the challenge. They took control of the first period and never looked back. Just about every Heat player made an impact in the team’s victory. With the win, Miami moves to 19-13 for the season. Here are four takeaways from Tuesday’s win over Indiana.
The Boston Celtics should be dark horses for the NBA Finals this season. However, due to a slow start, injuries, and players going into the league’s protocol the team is currently flirting with a .500 record.
Without their two best players, the Miami Heat were already at a disadvantage against the Indiana Pacers. Despite this, the Heat came prepared and determined to win.
Last season was a season of change for the Indiana Pacers. After firing head coach Nate McMillan, the Pacers hired Nate Bjorkgren to change up the team’s identity.
The Indiana Pacers had to battle through different elements to try and have a successful season in 2021. The Pacers hired former Mavericks coach, Rick Carlisle, who is back for his second stint with the team after coaching them previously.
Another busy day in the NBA Summer League took place on Monday, August 9. Eight games were played featuring some of the future stars of basketball.
The NBA has seven new coaching vacancies following the 2020-2021 NBA season. Some teams have the ideal coaching situations. As the team has a playoff-caliber roster, young talent, or both. Head coaches want to see success with their team, as most would prefer to come into an organization that has winning features. While other teams have neither the roster nor the talent to entice premiere coaches to join their organization. These NBA vacancies are either Ideal for coaches or shaky for coaches going into the 2021-2022 NBA season.
The Indiana Pacers finished this season with a 34-38 record. This gave the team the 9th seed in the Eastern Conference, which clinched the team a spot in the new play-in tournament. They would eventually be eliminated and now look to the offseason.
