The World Series is here! The Astros and Nats, just like our @jball0202 predicted, have made it. So, I brought back the Nostradamus of Baseball to the program to break down this series.

Jacob Benge recaps the Houston Astros’ huge ALCS Game 6 win over the New York Yankees that put them in the World Series, propelled by a Jose Altuve walk-off home run.
The Fall Classic is finally upon us. The Astros and Nationals will face off in this year’s World Series. This is the second time in three years for the Astros and the first-ever appearance by the Washington Nationals. The Astros finished off the Yankees in six games in the ALCS and the Nationals swept their way past the Cardinals in the NLCS.
Pitching has mostly had the upper hand in the Astros/ Yankees Championship Series so naturally, because of the distinct edge in there starters, we have to side with the stronger pitching team, the Houston Astros. Justin Verlander gets an extra day’s rest with the washout Wednesday. The Yankees send left-handed starter James Paxton to the bump who has strikeout upside, but the Astros hit lefties very well. Let’s go over a few players to help build around your showdown lineups. It’s Game Five of the ALCS and it’s about time to go for a rip Around the Horn!
Game Four of the ALCS was supposed to be last night. Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans. What the change in schedule does for us though is it gives us a rematch of the Game One starters. It will be cool at Yankee Stadium tonight, and the wind will be blowing out toward the short right-field porch at about 16 mph. There should be a few souvenirs for the fans in those seats tonight.
Jacob Benge recaps the Houston Astros’ 4-1 win over the New York Yankees on Tuesday to increase their series lead to 2-1.
Last night didn’t exactly go the way I thought it would. But that’s what makes baseball so great, right? We just never know what’s going to happen. The St. Louis Cardinals are on the verge of elimination and the Washington Nationals are one game away from childhood dreams. Before that, the New York Yankees will host the Houston Astros for what will be Game Three of the ALCS. The series is currently tied at one game apiece and this sets up to be a critical swing game. As the title reads, these picks are more for GPPs/tournaments. For cash games, you may want to use a different strategy and take a safer approach. Without further ado, let’s get to the picks.
Well here we are, we made it to the Championship Series. On the American League side, we get probably the most anticipated matchup to this point in the Yankees and Astros. All season long, they were on a crash course that led to meeting in the ALCS with a trip to the World Series on the line. Both have their strengths and their weaknesses and have gone on different paths this season while having obstacles along the way.
Today we have both Championship Series going. The Washington Nationals will play Game Two in St. Louis today after shutting down the Cardinals last night. The Houston Astros will host the New York Yankees as their series gets started. Let’s see who should get the nod in your lineups today.
