After a busy offseason and exciting batch of Spring Training games, the Boston Red Sox have settled on the select group of 26 players they’ll carry on their active roster when the regular season begins on Thursday, March 27.
The Boston Red Sox had a less than remarkable first series of 2022, dropping the first two games of the season to their archrivals, the Yankees. They were able to salvage the weekend a bit with a victory on Sunday Night Baseball.
All in all, 2021 offered optimism for the Boston Red Sox. Very few expected them to be competitive with the New York Yankees, Tampa Bay Rays, or Toronto Blue Jays. Even fewer imagined Boston would find itself in the ALCS against the Houston Astros.
Although Ryan Brasier has missed most of 2021, he has provided the Red Sox a boost in his September return when needed the most.
