Dear LeSean McCoy,
When the Buffalo Bills traded for you from the Philadelphia Eagles back in 2015, I was very excited. The Bills didn’t give up much to acquire you, and they almost always have a good backfield and run game. It was a match made in heaven. Your first season with the Bills was a good one, having over 1,000 all-purpose yards in 12 games and making the Pro Bowl. You barely missed a beat going from the Eagles to the Bills and you still looked like a star even when you were hurt. You were a perennial Pro Bowler and consistently had well over 1,000 yards. That was all up until 2018.
Andrew Crane explores the Bills’ selection of Devin Singletary and why the uncertainty surrounding the rookie running back isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
Keith Domon breaks down what the Frank Gore addition means for the Bills plans at running back in 2019 and beyond.
The Buffalo Bills have a one-year deal in place with the ageless Frank Gore, writes Andersen Pickard.
Times are changing for the Jacksonville Jaguars’ backfield. Jacob DeFee shares some options in free agency and the draft that could make sense for the Jaguars.
The period for teams to place a franchise tag on any impending free agent opens today. To continue an eight-part series breaking down candidates to be franchise tagged, Andersen Pickard looked at the AFC East.
Miami’s season started off great out of the gate, and we’re looking good at 3-0. Led by a finally healthy Ryan Tannehill, who hadn’t played since 2016. The bubble was swiftly burst as back-to-back losses followed, which included a blowout loss to the New England Patriots in week 4, and then just a week later Tannehill picked up a shoulder injury late in week 5 against the Cincinnati Bengals. Brock Osweiler would fill in for five games, going 2-3.
Miami Dolphins running back Frank Gore went down with a sprained foot playing against the Minnesota Vikings, and with the Dolphins on the outskirts of the playoffs (7-7) with only one wild card spot left and three different teams being 8-6 (Tennessee Titans, Indianapolis Colts and the Baltimore Ravens) It looks like a long shot for the Dolphins to weasel into the playoffs.
We are now about a week away from Week 1 as the exciting start to the NFL regular season nears closer. For most teams, this final preseason matchup is nothing more than the last rehearsal before final roster cuts, as the 2018 kickoff is just on the horizon.
