After blowing out the Atlanta Hawks in Game 1, the Miami Heat knew this game was going to be tougher, and it most definitely was.
The Miami Heat played the first night of their back-to-back against the Chicago Bulls.
For the first time since November 27th, the Miami Heat’s starting lineup was whole again. Kyle Lowry was back with the Heat after missing time for personal reasons. The Heat got off to a slow start against the San Antonio Spurs
The Miami Heat ended their four-game road trip Sunday night against the Detroit Pistons. Even shorthanded, the Heat still had an opportunity to finish the road trip strong against the struggling Pistons.
There were questions about whether the Miami Heat and Orlando Magic would play on Friday. The Magic were missing nine players, with the majority out due to Covid-19 protocols. Still, the game went on.
Both the Miami Heat and Chicago Bulls came into Saturday’s game shorthanded. The Bulls were missing seven players due to Covid-19 protocols. On the other side, Miami was missing five key players due to injuries.
Wednesday was not a great day for the Miami Heat. Earlier in the day, they received news of their punishment in the Kyle Lowry tampering investigation. Then, there was news of Bam Adebayo being out for weeks due to thumb surgery.
The Miami Heat scored a victory over the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday. Like the Spurs, the Heat are trying to lock in a spot for the 2021 playoffs. Miami got a huge contribution off the bench from Dewayne Dedmon. In 16 minutes of action, Dedmon recorded 18 points and nine rebounds off the bench.
