The Kansas City Chiefs had a weird year. With Patrick Mahomes playing lights out in the back half of the year and had fans scratching their heads in the first half. With the Chiefs losing in the AFC Championship game to the Cincinnati Bengals 27-24, a few things went wrong and right during the season to make this happen.
Most of this list remains the same from a week ago as only four teams played last week.
The divisional round weekend was an absolute thriller. Throughout the games, there were quite a few rookies who were relied upon and helped their team in a big way.
The list this week is a quality one. There were many more deserving candidates from the rookie class who did not make it and had big games.
Heading into the 2021 NFL Draft, the Kansas City Chiefs only had a few spots to fill after bolstering their offensive line through free agency and trades.
Ohio State has consistently produced starting linemen in the NFL. That doesn’t end this year as both Wyatt Davis and Josh Myers are entering the league. Myers originally started out as a guard during his time with the Buckeyes but projects best as a center at the next level. Myers will likely be the fourth center off the board next weekend.
While Creed Humphrey, Landon Dickerson, and Quinn Meinerz steal the spotlight of the center position of the NFL Draft, there are plenty of other options later on in the draft. Jimmy Morrissey is one of them. Morrissey arrived to Pittsburgh as a walk on, but ended up starting all four years he was there, was elected team captain, and a three-time All-ACC Selection.
Captaining the offensive line for Kyler Murray, Jalen Hurts, and Spencer Rattler is no easy task. Creed Humphrey stood his ground and played three full years at center for Oklahoma. Let’s find out if he lives up to the hype.
